Description
Spartan is a dark red, ribbed apple with aromatic skin and firm, crisp, bright white flesh. Not an especially good cooking apple, excels as a fresh-eating, sweet-tart apple. It is generally ready for harvest in mid-October, and it stores well for about three months.
