Description
Jonamac is a red Mac-type apple with a thin but chewy skin and a firm and crisp flesh. Its flavor is similar to McIntosh in its spicy tartness. Harvest runs in September. It does not store well.

Jonamac is a cross between Jonathan and McIntosh. It was developed in 1972 at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, New York.
