American Beauty is a large apple, sweet and aromatic with slightly chewy flesh. It has dark red streaks or blush over yellow-green skin, with some russeting. Its dense, cream-colored flesh is coarse and juicy, and it has a complex, spicy flavor with a hint of honey.
