Description
Twenty Ounce, also known as Eighteen Ounce and Cayuga Red Streak, is large and heavy, with little indentations or bumps on its skin. It is a yellowish-green apple with orange highlights. Its flesh is pale yellow, firm, tender, juicy, and tart. It is better as a cooking than fresh eating apple, and it has a fairly short storage life. Look for Twenty Ounce in September and October.
