Spigold is a large, crisp, juicy, and sugary apple, similar in flavor to Golden Delicious. It is ready for picking in late September to November, and it keeps for about three months.

History
A cross between Northern Spy and Golden Delicious, Spigold was first developed in 1962 at the New York State Agricultural Experimental Station in Geneva.
